Hello there! I’m currently and EMT in Pennsylvania, I have took my National Registry here and became certified here. In a year I might be moving to Tuscon, AZ. I’m not sure how to come about how I can transfer my cert to AZ. Do I have to re take my NREMT again?? Or take a refresher course?

I am taking EMT classes and will be certified as an EMT in Alabama during my senior year of high school. I plan to attend TCU. Will my EMT transfer from Alabama to Texas or would I have to do it all over?

I’ve heard that depending on where you go in Cali you may need additional certifications beyond state certification as specified by whatever county or city you’re in. Is this true? Can it be difficult to practice as an EMT-B even with a California license?

Have you ever had a patient complain because you were using your fingers to find the intercostal space? My administrator says I’m setting myself up for a lawsuit but I’ve been doing ECGs this way for 30 years!!

Get your NREMT and then apply for reciprocity. Keep in mind that Clark County ( vegas ) is not the same as Nevada. They have their own application. I’m moving this summer and have to complete my NREMT, before I apply. Good Luck.
