Charges could be filed against a motorcycle rider who collided with an ambulance in southeast Wichita late Sunday afternoon, police said. The collision occurred at 5:41 p.m. at Lincoln and Glendale, police said. The ambulance was driving west on Lincoln in the center lane, on its way to Via Christi Hospital on Harry, when it was hit by the motorcycle, according to police records. The motorcycle was driving north on Glendale and ran a stop sign, witnesses told police. The driver was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. Alcohol may have contributed to the accident, police said. Blood was drawn from the motorcycle rider to see if he was impaired. No one in the ambulance was injured in the collision.
